It is kind of a monoprint, but not exactly as they are not done on glass or anything. And the more you lift off the more interesting they can get. Also, if you do some, try pulling them apart in different ways. It is interesting how that changes things.

Thanks Andrea, you are always so generous with your kind comments.Andrea and Kimhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15337904921232330088noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5241393111022392313.post-56212898282718745022008-02-20T14:16:00.000-05:002008-02-20T14:16:00.000-05:00Kim, I love the dancers, this painting is full of ...Kim, I love the dancers, this painting is full of movement. But you know me, I will try most anything I think of with this stuff! You have seen some of the messes I have made! Thanks so much for visiting me and sharing your thoughts. You know how I feel about your thoughts on my work.

Lynette, I am glad you like it. I put it up here on a whim and now you are not the first one to say I should explore this technique more. As I have been thinking about this today, I realize monoprinting really sets things up nicely for movement, doesn't it? Yes, it does keep it very fresh!

I am going to do more of these...the more we talk here the more excited I get! :)

Thanks Everyone! I am kind of on a jag here with my Music series, but I am also working on a Contemplation series, too. These would fit in nicely there.

You know, you are right there is a ton of movement in this. I need to get some additional canvases to work this out on. That is good, though, since I am about to place an order for some. :)

Thanks so much for your encouragement.
