Reverse Translations...

This is another circle image I did from a photo on Dumpr. You can tell it was originally a circular image. I thought the colors were kind of autumn like and it might be fun to share with you. And this is the photograph I used in the program.
There is not a lot to say about this except I was doodling around with my left hand and this what came out. When it was done...and as I am looking at it here I thought of one of those mums worn at school homecomings. Do they still wear those? So this is sharpee pen and colored pencils.

So there you have it for today. Nothing profound, not much of anything...just a little sharing.

I hope you are having a beautiful day where you are...and if you, like Andrea, are dealing with any change of season sniffles then Feel Better Soon!

The drawing looks like a beautiful Spider Mum in fall colors.
Have a great day Kim!

Yes, spider mum...that was what I was looking for, Babs! I remember them as corsages when I was in high school and college. You know with long ribbon streamers.

Thanks Babs!

Very nice doodle. I like the combo of black lines and color. The Dumpr translation looks, as did the previous lily, like a paper weight with a flower inside. No sniffles here however very down in doldrums today partly the rain and partly just the everlasting sameness of everything. Be well, suki

Thanks Suki. You know those black lines came first, then I thought of the color. The black lines are what make the colors look so autumnal, I think.

Glad you are not dealing with sniffles...it is important to keep them away as much as possible. But I am sorry about the doldrums...maybe a full spectrum lamp would be good for you. Or, as I usually tell anyone who is talking to me about lighting...make that the bulbs you use all over your house. They render the colors more true than any other electric source and if you have light deprivation...it helps that issue, as well. They are sold, now, where you buy your regular bulbs.

Maybe if our western friends will blow real hard they will send that rain right out of there for you.

Here is a Hug, Suki!

I love the doodle! Kind of a south African flower.....
Also the thing you did on dumpr is cool, I know the program, it is relaxing and surprising.
Take care Kim!

Hi Marianne,

Thanks...I wonder what that flower is called? It is really only flower like as it honestly has no depth, but it was fun to do and easy with my left hand.

You are right, dumpr is relaxing and very surprising sometimes.

Thanks Marianne!

Wow, Kim. Your left-hand doodle looks wonderful! You have pretty good control with that hand to get such good symetry. I'm not sure I could do so well.
Very nice picture, and the Dumpr does look like a glass papeweight.

Thanks Kate! I have been working on this left hand business lately since being encouraged along by Andrea and Suki. If you want to see some good non-dominant hand work visit their blogs! Amazing! You might want to catch Suki's onions and Andrea's pumpkins.

Dumpr is great fun!

Thanks Kate!

Kim thanks for the full spectrum light suggestion. I think I just bought one of those bulbs from Blick but it seemed so dull, ie I went backto my 100 watt bulb to see more clearly. I should put the other one in another lamp though. Thanks.

Hi Suki, give it a shake and see if it works. I think you need to probably sit nearby for some reasonable time...you might begin with a 2 or 3 half hour periods by it (more if you can get that in). I will be eager to hear if it works!

Thanks for another visit!

Kim, this looks to me like a very complex little structure, it reminds me of a see-urchin (is that the name ?) although they don't have soft pikes...
This looks soft and with the colours of the prism. It looks organic too, growing and moving.
and so regular the circle, as if you did it with the dominant hand...

Andrea and Kim said...

A sea-urchin, yes, I have not thought of that! It does remind me of one of them, and you are right their spikes are not soft. :)

LOL, you make me laught thinking of the drawings you have done with your left hand so wonderful and regular.

Thanks for your insights here, Andrea!

These round manipulations using Dumpr are pretty cool and mandala-like.

Hi Chewy, they are similar, however they are not symmetrical. I enjoy them, however. And sometimes I find little bits and pieces in them which intrigue me.

You have some serious digital mandalas going on over at your place! Cool Stuff!

Thanks!
