Today is a bonus day! Yes, happy leap year day! I have been focused this week on a lot of marketing and networking. My time in the studio has been very little, so today I am going to paint! And I am looking forward to it.
With that in mind, I am just leaving you with an image from one of my sketchbooks. Clearly it was just one of those doodles, but that is also just fine. This has been a very good and a very exciting week for me in other areas, and you all have played a very important part of that. Now, I head to the studio to work on something to share with you next week!
I thought this was the cutest mushroom. I found it in a forest in western Germany. Don't you think it looks like something from a fairy tale? Well, that makes sense, doesn't it? Fairy Tales...Germany! I am slow, but I often make the connections!
Have a Beautiful and Creative Weekend. Do you have special plans? Will you be in your studio?

Kim, thanks for letting us peak into your sketchbook, I like these geometrical lines and the colours!
And what a lovely Fliegenpilz! Yes, it reminds me of my childhood fairytales and books:)
Have a wonderful day,
Andrea
Ah, you caught me before I got to the studio! That geometry is clearly a holdover from my drafting days. :)
Fliegenpilz! Oh those German words! I am always amazed at the length of some, too. I have a friend who is in a band in Germany and the name is Die Ziemmermaenner! Wow! I know there are much longer ones. Ah, yes, when I saw that I thought of a fairy sitting on the mushroom! :)
Have a Beautiful Weekend!
Happy Bonus day to you too! What a great way of looking at it! I hope you have a wonderful day of painting. Time to get off Facebook young lady, you're as bad as me! Then again, it is a bonus day ;0)
Oh Fiona, you are right! I am planning on making good use of this day! And will! I have a painting on my easel which is calling loudly to me!
You, my friend, get well!
That's a pretty sophisticated "doodle," Kim.
And that mushroom is rather fanciful--I wonder if it would expand the partaker's mind. :-) Then again, viewing it is enough. Leave the rest to the imagination.
Plans for the weekend: work at the gallery, keeping fingers crossed for good business.
Enjoy yours!
Tee Hee...it really is a doodle! But thanks for the kind words.
Isn't that some mushroom? I have no idea of the mind expanding powers of this particular one, but we could ask Andrea! Tee Hee...okay, true enough, viewing it is good and we can imagine the mind bending properties :)
Okay, I am focusing on your have a boom weekend! We are all needing your business to explode with sales! Thankfully you are in a good area for tourist sales.
I'm seeing bridges in your doodle. Babs painted bridges and now I see bridges everywhere.
I've been away from painting for two weeks and have the urge to lock myself in my studio for the weekend.
Hey Chewy, you are right! Bridges...I know Lynette put that in your head :)
Hey, give yourself a gift and get in that studio, girl! You clearly need it after this week! Jury Duty! How I hate that...
Go, my friend, and paint!
Hi Kim, the doodle is so like Kandinsky! You could get a lot of artisitic mileage from it. Inspiring!
Thanks for visiting my blog, I'll be back, Hennie
Thank you Hennie! I might work with it. Who knows where art will take us! Thank you for your encouragement...we can all use that anytime we can get it.
You have a delightful blog and I will be back there to explore!
I am glad you will return to visit me, as well!
Have a Lovely Weekend!
Kim, that doodle would turn into a very fine painting...I really love the composition and colors in this! That little mushroom is so purty and brightly colored. I could almost see a little elf peeking from under there. :)
Hi Lynette! I am glad you liked it! Who knows what it might end up being when it is all said and done? Thank you for your encouragement. That is always helpful and nice to hear.
That was some mushroom,uh? When we were in that forest I saw maybe 5 or 6 like this! I thought they were amazing!
Thanks for stopping by!
