I normally would not do this, but...

Okay, I have yet to speak of my political bent here on the blog, but today it is keeping me from another post. As many of you know, my son is a history major and since we have gotten an invitation to the final Obama rally here in Northern Virginia tonight the two of us are going to go. It is not until tonight, but with a very excited young man and lots of people expected we are leaving very early.

And here is one last thing for anyone who is an American, if you have not done so...VOTE Tomorrow!

Well, since you brought it up, I have to say, "Vote for the man (and woman) of your choice, but vote!"

It's great to live in America. This has been a historic election ... I can't believe it's going to be over in under 24 hours.

Kim, my son attended Obama's Albuquerque rally recently. 45,000 were in attendance. A rousing time was had by all!

I voted a little over a week ago at the Santa Fe County Courthouse. Keeping fingers crossed until tomorrow evening...

Congratulations America! Have been watching Obama's victory speech (7am here in South Africa)- he seems a very genuine, intelligent and inciteful man. I am sure America is going to benefit from his leadership.

I am not going to answer with a lot of single emails here. I think as of today, after the election is over, we can see Americans DID vote and voted in great numbers! Now that is what it is all about!

Of course I am over the top with the results and from the emails I have received from around the country and around the world, so many of you feel the same way.

I have to also share with you the rally was an unbelievable experience! There were 100,000 people there and in 8 hours of standing in a very tight crowd, I heard not a single angry word or saw any indication of protest or anger! I felt that was hugely telling!

Thank You Everyone!

One more thing (Chewy), it was a huge honor, indeed.
