Another WIP
Okay, so here is another WIP. I really don't know what I am doing with this one. I began it back in JUNE! Yes, June! I can't decide how I want to proceed with it, either. When I first started, I was thinking jewelry...layers of jewel tones and silver...big collar of metal and color kind of thing.
Now, my apologies for stuffing here, but I am not able to post tomorrow until late, so I thought I would pop this one on here for you to see now. But if you haven't seen the post just below this one, don't hesitate to comment there, too...or anywhere!
Kim, I like these, for me they are like totem poles, and my eye likes the silver and the patterns, I imagine it hanging near the other little oblong canvases with similar patterns.... love Andrea
I really like this thing you do with these blocks Kim. You know, I don't think it would have EVER occured to me to paint in this way,,,I am so not orderly,,,but I do love it! I 'bonked' it up so I could see all the colors,,,and I think you place them just right. The little 'border' at the bottom of each row is a nice touch. An unexpected one, which really adds to the whole.
Hi Babs, as you know I am not normally so orderly, either. But for some reason this kind of layering has been playing around in my head for months now. We will see how and if it plays itself out.
I am glad you feel the way I have used the colors is spot on. And it did feel right to put that border on each strip...maybe just the beginning and ending thing I needed. I really appreciate your insights here, Babs...that means a lot!
I am currently looking for gallery representation. If you are interested in speaking with me about this possibility or if you have insights as to approachable galleries, please email me (artist[at]KimRodefferFunk[dot]com) so we can talk. You know my people can call your people :) Of course I have no "people", but if you do that is great!
Thanks for anything you might be able to share.

Hi Andrea,
Thanks...this is the same kind of thing as those...only this one is not as precise, on purpose.

Kim, I love the patterns and colors in these strips and I'm thinking that no matter how you use these the finished product will turn out so wonderful!
Oh, thank you, Lynette! That is so sweet! I suppose we will see how this ends up, uh?
