As Promised

Yesterday I spent doing inside things...well, except for the driveway and photo taking...but just watching the snow fall was a peaceful feeling. I am clearing out some of the projects I have going in the studio, because I do want to play a bit this weekend with some new things which are flying around in my head. Most likely they are flying at me because of the peaceful day yesterday! So today, I want to leave you on a calm note for the weekend. Here are a couple of photos I took yesterday.

Yes, this is the same tree the owl was in earlier in the year.

I really loved looking up into the trees...

And here is just a general view of what I was able to experience. It was lovely and true to all snow days very quiet.

Have a Lovely Weekend!

Oops, Friend, I think I hit that one twice! Oh well, it is nice to have you say that two times.

You know, I don't think anyone can take a bad photo of fresh snow! It is kind of like certain natural places...no bad photos! Now photgraphing art work...another story completely! Although your work sure is photographed beautifully! It must be the beautiful paintings making it easier to photograph!

I am glad you liked the post about the color. I would love to post like that every single day, but I also love to get in the studio. But color is a facinating subject, isn't it?

Have a Lovely Weekend!

Kim, thank you for invoking the quietude. I needed that.

Glad I could bring a bit to you, San. Take a deep breath and let it out slowly! Some weeks, months, years... are just like that. We just need to remind ourselves how important a moment is. I can imagine this is a brutal time of year for you...and then there is life, too. Hang in there and if you need to unload on someone who has no idea...let me know.

Kim I need to move up north where you are, oooh what gorgeous photos you took of the lovely snow and trees...just beautiful! I remember the owl photo too. We are supposed to get some snow down here tomorrow but it looks like most of it is going to be down in the Williamsburg area and south of us. :(

Beautiful photos, Kim. I think snow is in the forecast for Virginia for today, too!

Lynette, come on up! We would love to have you here. I see where it looked like you would get a bit of snow...grab some photos if you do! I thought we might get more up here, but the weather says only all around us! :( Oh well, I do hope you get at least a bit there. It would be a lovely way to spend the weekend.

Laura, I sure do hope we get some of that snow. Apparently everyone around us will! It is nice to see you here.

Have a Wonderful Weekend, Ladies.

Awesome photos Kim,,,I can FEEL that air!

Andrea and Kim said...

Hey! That is such a cool (no pun intended) thing to say, Babs! I can understand what you mean, though! I guess it does look cold and quiet! Don't you just love that...being able to see feelings even in realistic photographs? It reminds me of looking out of our window when we lived in Houston...it looked so green, cool and inviting, but the heat and humidity would take your breath away when you stepped out.

Thanks Bab! You comments always make me see (and feel) things in a different way.

The ice can be so beautiful and so damaging to the trees. Kind of a sublime kind of beauty.

Andrea and Kim said...

True Camplin, thankfully this was a good old snow! We are tree lovers here, too, so I totally understand your meaning. Some ice, though, rids trees of weak limbs which is also helpful.

It is good to see you here. How did your show go?

My little bit of frosting can't compare to your luscious covering... but that's okay ;-) Very nice!

KJ, if you are like me any sprinkling will do. I remember, as a child, having tons and tons of snow (just a couple hours south of here), but that isn't the case any longer. I am just happy to have what we get. I am glad for you to be able to enjoy what ever bits you can this winter.

Angela, thank you and I am glad you liked the photos. It is magical.

I look forward to seeing you both again soon.

Love the looking up at the trees photo :) They are beautiful photos.

There is no snow here this week, just a bitter cold. Even my dog doesn't like going out too much with cold like this.

Andrea and Kim said...

You know, I agree with you about looking up at the trees.

You are really cold up there right now. I bet the snow will be on the way soon. Poor puppy, but I suppose it is lovely to be in working when it is so cold out!

Thanks for stopping by again! Come back soon!
